CONTRACTS AND LOAN MANAGER

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Oversee administration of bank applications for production loans
- Prepare applications for completion bonds
- Track and coordinate all documentation associated with closing production loans and completion bonds
- Understanding of financing documentation, including distribution agreements, security agreements
- Prepare cash flow schedules for productions
- Liaise with bank managers, lawyers, and producers
- Solid understanding of cost reports, trial balances, and budgets
- Sound understanding of various financing structures and sources, including co-productions, gap, super gap, presale, and tax credits

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support to end users, escalate when required
- Provide support for office applications, web browsers, email clients and other software as needed
- Provide support for phone, fax, and printing issues
- Document all pertinent end user, request and problem information
- Process new hardware and software purchase requests
- Assist with researching, sourcing and testing of new hardware and software
- Assist with cable installation including pulling, fishing, patching, and terminating
- Assist with hardware and software deployments
- Train end users on new hardware and software
- Perform desktop level installation, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Perform general maintenance of computer and other equipment (cleaning, organizing, disposal)
- Data entry inventory and other record changes
- Occasional travel to remote sites
Position Requirements:
- A relevant college diploma in information technology or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of related experience supporting hardware and software in a network environment is required.
- Experience with PC hardware and software including system building, troubleshooting, diagnostics and maintenance
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems including Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003. Linux and Mac OS X is an asset.
- Experience with productivity suites and email clients including Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Open Office, Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird
- Experience with various email protocols including POP/IMAP/SMTP/MAPI (Microsoft Exchange)

Insight Film Studios is looking for a Business Affairs Assistant/JR Business Affairs Associate.
Duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Preparing and drafting legal documents; maintaining an up-to-date database of standard templates
- Managing the schedule of General Counsel and coordinating workflow
- Liaising with external legal counsel to coordinate various documentation prior to production (i.e. performer deal memos, releases, artist agreements, etc.); conducting follow-up with agents as required
- Conducting basic negotiations related to various aspects of film production
- Coordinating title search clearance reports, E&O certificates, script clearance, as required for productions; ensuring compliance with the requirements of distribution and financing agreements
- Assisting with the completion of legal delivery binders for each production; cross referencing production agreements when necessary to ensure compliance for accorded credits, insurance terms, CAVCO adherence
- Closely monitoring production schedule and initiating draft agreements with Production Managers and legal counsel at the earliest opportunity
- Administrative duties including basic research, maintenance of electronic and hard copy filing system, mailings and document correspondence

- Previous legal work experience and/or Completion of Certified Legal Assistant Examination
- Bachelors Degree in a related field of study

INTERNAL ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER
Insight Film Studios is seeking an internal entertainment lawyer with strong
transactional experience to join our Business Affairs team. Working in the corporate
office in Vancouver, the successful candidate will act as sole Canadian counsel and
support for the company in all legal matters pertaining to our production slate of
television movies, television series and feature films. Key duties include drafting and
negotiating all distribution and financing agreements required for bank closings, drafting
and negotiating key cast and crew agreements, drafting chain of title documentation,
advising on script clearances, completing signatory documents for production guilds and
providing support and guidance to production personnel as required.
We are looking for a business minded lawyer with at least three years of industry
experience in a similar capacity, who will be able to successfully manage multiple
projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will also have an
intimate knowledge of the federal and provincial tax credit guidelines and will provide
guidance and expertise, as required, for finance structures, international co-productions
and various tax credit applications. Working knowledge of various guild requirements is
also essential.

- Working collaboratively with our Post-Accountants, Production Accountants, and Business Affairs on process improvements
- Assisting management with various analysis and due diligence requirements
- Delivery of consolidated financial reporting and supporting schedules
- Preparing year end working papers and liaising with auditors
- Preparing reconciliations for intercompany transactions
- Invoicing and accounts receivable reporting and collections

- Assisting with Cash Management and key account reconciliations
