Insight Film Studios Wins 2005 BC Export Award
Insight Film Studios has been named BC's exporter of the year in the New Media and Entertainment category at the 23rd annual BC Export Awards sponsored by the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association and the Ministry of Economic Development. The awards recognize outstanding export success and the contribution trade plays in the provincial economy.
Insight President Kirk Shaw said he was "surprised and delighted" to win the award which he accepted "on behalf of Insight's 76 staff members and 150 contract workers who's hard work, dedication and commitment have made the company's phenomenal growth of the past two years possible and the Royal Bank of Canada who have supported and guided Insight through this growth".
Kirk believes Insight was recognized for it's unique approach to production and film financing combined with the vision and courage to invest in HD technology when it was in its infancy in North America.
